CULTURE & RESPECT
Mark Hoffmann is well respected within the indigenous community in the Northern Territory. He has earned the respect of many of the elders throughout the NT for staying true to his own style... coined by David Blanasi as 'Aeroplane Style' in 1997.
He has received the blessings of many Aboriginal Elders to play the Didgeridoo and has been credited by the Traditional Owner of Arnhemland for inspiring a new generation to pick up this ancient instrument again. He has also toured extensively throughout the communities and been invited to play at traditional ceremonies.
Mark has never re-appropriated any traditional song or story in his performances or used his connection to the indigenous communities to further his own career. He holds a deep respect and understanding for their culture and has remained mindful of this whenever writing or performing any of his own songs.
"Mark Hoffmann is an ambassador for multiculturalism in the Northern Territory.
He brings all colours together.. feeling one vibration.. sharing one red blood"
